The puppy is a funny size. There is an incredible amount of energy, but you still have to be careful not to go on too long trips with it. Most puppies require walking for 15-20 minutes 2-3 times a day. When your puppy grows quickly, it of course makes good sense that you don't want to spend too much money on collars etc., but quality is still important. We have therefore collected these puppy collars and lines, which are in the low price range, but are of very good nylon quality.
Puppy collars from NYC's basic series are an obvious choice for any puppy that is still growing. They come in two sizes – small and medium. The 'small' is for shiba-sized puppies. The puppy collar is 10 mm wide and 10-20 cm long. The cord is 10 mm wide and 100 cm long. The 'medium' is for puppies in the Samoyed size. Here the puppy collar is 15 mm wide and 33-40 cm long. The cord is 15 mm wide and 100 cm long.
With these smart puppy collars and leads, it is therefore easy to teach your puppy to walk with a collar and to walk on a leash. You can easily practice at home so that your puppy learns better the rules you set for it.
Contrary to popular belief, it's a good idea to train your puppy as soon as you get him through the door. It is a good way to get both you and the puppy used to having to do some exercises, so that you get a good and close bond. The puppy collar and leash can be used every time you need to do something with the puppy. Get it used to seeing other people and dogs, so there is a better chance that it will get used to having others around.
However, it should be pointed out that puppies need to sleep a lot. They must have between 12-18 hours of sleep a day, but in the first days in a new home it can easily be between 16-20 hours a day. It is important that the puppy is rested, so you should not drag the puppy everywhere, but instead change your behavior to start with.
Puppy collars and leads are essential for anyone with a small puppy. We at GroomUs are very happy with NYC ourselves, precisely because it is soft nylon that is delicious for the growing puppy. Unlike leather, or other hard materials, the puppy collar's soft nylon will not be hard and restrictive. With a growing puppy, however, it is also very important that you keep an eye on the puppy collar if your puppy wears it at home. You should always be sure that the collar is not too tight around your little puppy's neck.
